Best Friends are those crazy bunch of people whom you choose on your own to suffer and get taunted for to rest of your life.

You meet people and find a few of them to whom you are interested you spend time and find out you share a common interest.

You often meet, spend time together, hanging out, and time flies with them.

Okay! but when you find the best friend of the opposite sex, As I have an idiot male friend.

I am talking about a friendship between members of the opposite sex, it can come out beautifully well.

I am not talking about Karan Johar’s movies wali friendship, which later turns into love forever...

“Ladka Ladki kabhi dost nahi ho sakte hai” com’on.. you can’t get attracted to each and every male/female you meet.

Possibly not every friendship turns out to love marriage but very few of them.

So we now have a term for this kind of friendship called ‘platonic friendship’.

Platonic friendship is possible and can be very beneficial.

The definition of platonic is an intimate, close friendship without sex.

Usually, the term ‘platonic friendship’ is used to talk about a friendship between members of the opposite sex, but it can also be used to talk about same-sex friendships too.

Platonic friendships are best when they are kept free from sexual tension and sexual attraction.

They should be based on mutual respect and genuine affection for each other.

These types of friendships also help us learn new things about ourselves, and oftentimes we find out things that we didn’t know before!

Platonic friendships can be difficult to maintain at times because they require a lot of work on both sides in order for them to survive long-term.

Even though these types of friendships can be difficult at times, they are still some of the most fulfilling relationships you will ever have!

Platonic friendships can be very beneficial because you are able to learn about each other’s lives and interests without having to worry about how it will affect your relationship.

Platonic friendships also allow you to share experiences with someone without having any romantic feelings towards that person.

Platonic relationships are characterized by trust and respect between the people involved in them.

I remember back in school time, I liked to talk or share my personal experience with my paternal cousin sister a lot about all those feeling that we had when we were growing up and can’t share them with our parents or any other friends but only a person whom I trusted.

But our relatives thought I have an interest in same-sex because I was always behind her to talk, share, and spend time, often we were spotted together.

Obviously, this was a huge misunderstanding I am interested only in men.

But unfortunately, we had to break our friendship because of our relative’s mindset.

A similar case happened when I become friends with my maternal cousin, at that time our relatives thought we were in a relationship or something.

My point here is to tell you, that you meet people and become friends with them.

Friendship evolved with time, becomes deep and strong you get intimate, close enough but that “only friendship it's not a relationship”.

To have a friend with whom you can vent out, tell them anything, everything anytime and every time without giving it a thought, things just come out without any filter and they listen to it patiently. share their perceptive with you to have a person like this in your life is a soul blessing.

So, please don't ruin it because of your society's norms or any misunderstanding.

Rather Cherish, Live and Love! Enjoy living every single moment with friends.

Show Gratitude!!!

signing off my little thought on this special occasion of friendship day hope you all had an amazing day, if not then maybe sometime later.

Disclaimer: This short post doesn’t support or encourage platonic friendship, it differs with individuals, it's just a thought.
